Responsibility:
1. Consolidate / build market data
1.1 Source all available information internally and in close
collaboration with BMS market intelligence externally with any
relevance to existing or potential markets, applications, technologies,
customers, and competitors
1.2 Provide, process, monitor, and build professional knowledge on all
aspects of Market research and market intelligence
1.3 Provide state-of-art industry knowledge, including industry index,
size, technology trend
1.4 Provide on-demand information request to suport ad-hoc Marketing /
Strategy projects
1.5 Liasion function to cooperate with CD in macro study and other
cross BU market intelligence activities

2. Analyse competition (regional focus)
2.1 Responsible for the set up of competitor profile with other CAS
APAC functions (mainly RPM)
2.2 Develop in-depth understanding of competitor's regional strategy /
activities / organization changes etc and derive implications for Bayer
2.3 Develop standard client survey to understand Bayer's
competitiveness against competitors and areas to improve on regular
basis

3. Develop Strategic assessment
3.1 Develop and provide strategic assessments on different sectors
based on market trends / competition system and positionings with
potential recommendations all along 5Ps (from pricing to distribution
strategy)
3.2 Advise Application managers / IM team in the analysis of
competitive solutions / strategies with specific knowledge regarding
competition behaviors
3.3 Monitor and research existing business models in the marekt with
relevance for PU

4. Build marketing excellence processes
4.1 Define key process of market intelligence tasks (owners,
contributors across all sub-regions)
4.2 Responsible continous process improvement in order to be more
efficient / lean

Qualification:
1. Bachelor's degree;
2. Minimum of 5-10 years experience in market intelligence function -
3. familarity with established tools / methodology of market intelligence;
4. A good balance of strategic thinker and down-to-earth doer;
5. Positive attitude; recognized and respected mature industry contributor
6. with broad network inside and/or outside the company;
7. Understanding of chemistry of Polyurethane products and its
applications would be a plus
8. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate
market complexity
9 Strong communication, interpersonal, persuasive, and motivational
skills; and expertise about the local political environment
10.Fluent in Chinese and English
