Responsibility:
? Develop the IT & Electronics CAS 3-5-year marketing strategy in collaboration with CO, PM, application technology and Innovation (taking into consideration sustainability and mega trends), aligned with product strategies and overall BMS platform strategies;
? Collect, prioritize and develop new market opportunities, ensure information sharing with all relevant stakeholders (internal and
external) and develop a continuous pipeline of opportunities with existing and new markets/applications;
? Develop the segment strategies, target applications, strategic positioning in value chain (including value proposition for all IT &
Electronics industries and relevant applications identified in the overall BU CAS strategy), and translate into universal offerings in
line with all other industry segments;
? Foster an outside-in culture across CAS and align resources and capabilities throughout the BU to deliver long-term profitable growth in IT & Electronics
? Establish and maintain networks with strategic accounts, OEMs, industry associations, universities across the globe to achieve deeper understanding about industry trends and customer value chains
? Collect, process, and provide market data by customer, application and industry segment, by region including customer activity using external and internal resources
? Explore business models (e.g. various points of participation in value chain) in collaboration with PM, CO and the Innovation community and contribute to development of new innovation models (e.g. open innovation)
? Collect, develop and provide outside-in guidance to Innovation to ensure market driven innovation that meets the overall strategic objectives and ensure successful launch of innovations in the respective markets via a commercialization plan developed with CO
? In collaboration with CO translate IT & Electronics industry segment and application strategies into short- to mid-term tactics as well as annual segment / country targets and plans
? CO to be accountable for current sales and identification of future business opportunities as input for IM
? IM to identify and understand value chain and future needs of strategic accounts
? Represent CAS by contributing to the overall BMS IM initiative, the IM community and Industry Platforms for the benefit of BMS as a whole with focus on IT & Eletronics, such as pursuing forward marketing initiatives to influence decision makers and local opinion leaders and create "market-pull". This includes influencing the processes and tools and leveraging this community for the benefit of CAS.
? Develop global industry marketing communications strategy, promotional plan and budget allocation in collaboration with Regional Segment Managers and aligned with overall BU strategy. Lead marketing initiatives relative to advertising, brochures, e-newsletters, press interviews, trade shows, product promotion and brand name recognition for the CAS Business.
Qualification:
? Bachelor degree in Chemistry/Marketing with MBA preferred
? At least 10 years experience in marketing with industrial marketing exposure at managerial position in IT & Electronics industry preferred
? Some chemical knowledge a plus
? Outside in perspective with conceptual, creative and strategic thinking
? A change agent with strategic influencing skill and intercultural understanding ability driving for results
? Sound presentation, project management and prioritization skills
? Leading and building teams especially not direct reports capability
? Demonstrating leadership behavior in line with Bayer Leadership Principles and BMS Leadership Decathlon with strong focus on customer
