JOB OBJECTIVES:

Be responsible for providing Controlling activities for the Refining, Salts and Solutions business.

To support all purchase & sales processes within the supply chain, including logistics and planning matters at site based on customer needs and supplier lead times.

To support the management of Vault Operations, inclusive of verifying all PM movements, maintenance of accurate records, controlling inventory levels and reporting.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To lead the month end accounting closing, ensure all the booking and adjustment are reasonable and performed in a timely and accurate manner with proper controls and approvals;

2. To work with the trading team to ensure that all metal gains and losses are priced correctly and recorded in a timely manner (usually monthly);

3. To create Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for the plant, separated by business as needed;

4. To coordinate between global CCMR controller and site controller for budget, forecast;

5. To work with PM Accounting, Supply Chain Manager, Vault Manager and Production Supervisor as and when needed to monitor the PM actual stock, ensuring that there are no un-reconciled differences between physical quantity and theory bookings by customer and metal; including witness on site of metal movement, like receipt, PM solution shipment, metal shipments to 3rd party;

6. To ensure compliance by all personnel to the company's policies, procedures and practices related to precious metal transportation, receipt, shipment and storage;

7. To prepare monthly reconciliation of theory precious metal inventory to physical precious metal inventory utilizing SAP and PMPro, including reconciliation of all pool accounts and general ledger accounts;

8. To lead, compile and reconcile the annual physical precious metal inventory for the CCM plant;

9. To identify opportunities for productivity improvements to achieve agreed cost saving targets through continuous analyses of the whole supply chain process, setting up different planning rules to shorten lead time and meet customer requirements within BASF policies and strategy;

10. To prepare reports on the status of inventory balances including aging of balances and reporting of slow moving inventory;

11. To take of cycle count and audited annual physical inventory to verify balances on the vault perpetual records;

12. To monitor of various PMPro accounts (e.g. (e.g. WIP and Shipping Clearance accounts/Batch reclass / production process order monitoring etc) to ensure timely execution of entries;

13. To provide back up for PM Accountant, Vault Manager, Supply Chain Manager and other peers as needed;

14. To perform special or ad hoc projects for the business as requested.


REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

2. At least 5 years' experience of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment. Working experience with JV, WOFE is preferred. Precious metal management experience is considered an asset.

3. Both Chinese and English language is required fluent both spoken and written.

4. Thorough accounting and finance knowledge. Basic knowledge of chemical production and the Refinery business preferred. Strong mathematical and organizational skills.

5. Proficient with Microsoft Windows Office software.

6. Familiarity with ERP concepts and applications with operational or implementation experience, knowledge of SAP strongly preferred, familiarity with SAP PMPro a plus.

7. Be proactive and show strong commitment.
