REPORT TO:

Director of Engineering



SUMMARY:

The candidate for this position will be able to plan and coordinate the technical and engineering activities of firmware development for new and existing equipments



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

-- Assist with the development and execution of test plans for evaluating the performance and reliability of software systems.

-- Update product design specifications to reflect current product functionality and interface with outside Engineering groups to explain product functionality.

-- Debug software problems that are reported. Identify steps that cause the problem to occur and collect appropriate data.Use debugging skills to isolate the problem to a particular sub-system or software module.

-- Maintain, update and improve existing applications firmware as necessary and as directed by a supervisor.



REQUIREMENTS:

-- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in software, electrical or controls engineering (or related field).

-- Minimum 1 year developing firmware in "C" language for real-time embedded systems.

-- Familiarity with UNIX operating system as a development platform.

-- Experience using tools for tracking software bug reports.

-- Experience with software configuration management tools for performing source code and revision control.



ATTRIBUTES:

-- Be able to read, analyze, interpret, and write scientific and technical reports in English.

-- Ability to speak English fluently.

-- Able to get passport and visa for travel to the U.S. for training.

-- Ability to utilize MS office suite products.

-- Ability to apply logical principles or scientific thinking to analyze or solve a wide range of intellectual or practical problems.

-- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
