General Responsibilities:

· The Configuration Management Change Analyst I is responsible for supporting a configuration management system. This position has responsibility for maintaining a comprehensive electronic product and document management system. It includes collecting, maintaining, managing and distributing all documents necessary to define product configuration and to control manufacturing processes that ensure conformance to customer requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Establishes documentation standards per the Company's needs and contributes to the global documentation initiatives of the corporation. These include naming conventions, numbering, revision control, BOMs and design formatting, etc.

· Maintains configuration control and the PDM system to ensure efficient retrieval of documents and related engineering product information.

· Manages the flow control of electronic documentation.

· Maintains and manages electronic libraries.

· Manages the ECO and product release processes.

· Works with other Engineering personnel to create and develop engineering documentation on new products and processes.

· Works with Quality personnel to establish proper regulatory and quality documentation procedures consistent with the Company's requirements.

· Supports Manufacturing personnel on production documentation issues and changes, as necessary.

· Collects and maintains files of the latest revision level documentation to define product configuration and to control manufacturing processes.

· Assures timely electronic distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensures that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.

· Contributes to engineering schedules and plans.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· Knowledge of configuration management practices.

· In-depth knowledge of Change Order System, Bills of Material.

· Knowledge of concurrent engineering product development.

· Knowledge of ISO 9000 documentation requirements.

· Knowledge of CAD, project tracking, spreadsheet, word processing and database programs.

· Experience in the transfer of paper processes to electronic processes.

· Experience with a PDM system is preferred.

· Excellent writing and communication skills to work in a cross-functional environment.

· Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field or equivalent.

· Minimum of two years experience in advanced engineering documentation.

· CMII Certification.
