MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Facilitate the delivery of new materials/functional materials into development. Maintain a robust pipeline of novel materials wanted by the business.
-Supervise lab technicians and make sure that chemical data are correct.
-Synthesis, purification and analysis of new perfume ingredients on gram and multi-gram scale
-Optimization and up-scaling of chemical processes
-Documentation of experimental data and observations
-Maintenance of the lab equipment and the stock of basic chemicals
-Help to keep a clean and tidy work space.
-Help creating an academically challenging atmosphere in R&D Shanghai


QUALIFICATION:

-Finished PhD thesis in Organic Chemistry
-Experiences in the Chemical Industry
-Track record of organo chemical problem solving in academia and/or industrial work
-MS Office, CS ChemOffice (ChemDraw, ChemFinder)
-Good command in English
