Legal/Portfolio Management Role will be responsible for portfolio management, fund reporting and general legal support. The candidate should have capability to work closely with fund managers and LPs on portfolio management and fund reporting, to negotiate effectively on business terms and to work well as a part of a collaborative team. An attractive candidate must have
(i) a compelling desire to join an entrepreneurial firm;
(ii) a “whatever it takes to get it done” mentality;
(iii) the maturity to work with different parties. The ideal candidate will be a junior to mid-level attorney with some litigation experience who is looking to move to an in house generalist role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide general legal support, including monitoring litigation, reviewing contracts, completing legal materials for fund/direct deal investments, and developing and maintaining internal policies and procedures.
- Assist managing partner in portfolio management, including proper monitoring of the fund financial performance and their compliance with our investment policy.
- Review all aspects of fund commitment agreements and assist in the negotiation process, including working with the designated law firm to support fund investment.
- Take a proactive approach to identify under-performing, non-compliance fund managers and propose suggestion to improve.
- Maintain deal-flow, deal management and portfolio monitoring databases for all funds.
- Keep up-to-date with all relevant market knowledge.

Academic Achievements
- Bachelor Degree from law school of top universities in China or overseas with a strong GPA

Experience
- At least 2 years of experience working as an attorney in a large law firm, preferably with financial services industry clients
