Position: Process Engineer
Reports to: General Manager
Position summary: Communicate with customers to determine their process requirements. Coordinate with Dedert teams to prepare proposals. Help Procurement prepare cost estimates. Present and follow-up on all proposals in order to close sales. Help execute the projects respecting committed budgets and delivery schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Log incoming inquiries in accordance with Dedert project numbering system
Discuss with customers on process designs that will suit their requirements
Determine optimum process solutions in conjunction with the Dedert teams
Make process calculations to define component sizes and performance
Work with Engineering to get preliminary process flow diagram and general arrangement drawings for submission to customers
Review budgetary and detailed estimates with Procurement
Prepare proposals with details relevant to RFP’s / RFQ’s
Review proposals with Dedert teams prior to submission to customers
Track progresses then update the General Manager on status of the files
Help execute projects in accordance to the Company PM system
Assist in plant commissioning and start-up
Business travel required (30%)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years of work experience in drying and/or evaporating systems
Experience in energy calculations
Strong background in process flow diagrams
Skills in building and maintaining customer relations
Good verbal and written communications skills in Chinese and English
Good interpersonal skills

Dedert is willing to provide on-the-job training to the employee including training at Dedert HQ in Chicago and supports further studies at universities in China
