-From our Corporate Communications, Siemens are looking to recruit a Senior Communications Specialist. Report to Senior Communications Manager of Shanghai Hub, Corporate Communications, SLC. Daily work assignments arranged by CC Press Team (SH & BJ)
Communication/ work partners include:
-Members of SLC CC team
-Members of SLC communications colleagues and those of Operating Companies
-External suppliers / agencies for media/ PR, design, printing, (press) events etc.

What are my responsibilities?
-As member of media/PR team, clearly understand the Siemens Corporate strategy, business development plan, SLC CC’s strategy and communications plan, communication policies and guidelines
-Support Media and PR team to plan, coordinate and implement communication projects
-Build up and maintain a standard message cockpit about Siemens including regional press profiles, project profiles, media profiles, clipping reports, photo pool etc.
-Act as “key account manager” for designated regions/provinces and plan and implement regional/provincial communication projects as well as develop and strengthen communication media relations
-Act as “key account manager” for designated business groups/corporate departments, support and coordinate internal communication with business groups and corporate departments to ensure a timely and relevant flow of information
-Act as “topic owner” of a wide variety of corporate topics
-Plan, draft and check regional corporate communications documents including press releases, corporate statements, presentations, briefing papers, message papers, management board speeches and other manuscripts for the press and / or external events
-Build up and maintain on a sustainable basis a solid and wide network with general/business/financial/local media in the hub area
-Help update/maintain news related parts on intranet/internet
-Responsible for media monitoring

What do I need to qualify for this job?
-Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience (above 7 years preferred)
-Prior work experience in foreign invested company
-Prior journalistic experience an advantage
-Working experience PR agency, especially international one, is strongly preferred
-Prior experience in all fields of corporate communications preferred including media and -PR, internal communications, publications, advertising and events

What else do I need to know?

-Shanghai Hub, covering 17 provinces/Municipalities in the southern area of the Yangtze River, is a focus point of the Siemens business in China. SLC CC Shanghai Hub is responsible for the planning, coordination and implementation of the corporate communications activities in the region.
-Media is a core function of SLC CC to help achieve the business goals of Siemens China to create and develop a consistent, uniform, credible and positive image of Siemens amongst the media and our key target groups. With a core responsibility in the hub, the Senior Communications Specialist will support the Hub Manager in planning and implementating media communications activities in the region with respect to media relations maintainance, management and development; message development/press release, executive speeches, interview briefings preparations; press activities (interview, press conference) arrangement as well as media crisis handling.
-Furthermore, the incumbent will have “key account responsibility” for designated provinces/business area and act as chief contact and consultant for the Provindial GM and business marcom team.
