NUCAP is currently seeking a talented and experienced Production Engineer to provide engineering services to optimize production. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing engineering drawings, reviewing cost, quality, timelines, methods and resources used in the manufacturing of Nucap’s products. In addition he/she will participate in tooling modification, and applying broad engineering principles and practices.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position will be located in Shanghai, China and will be accountable for the following deliverables.

Product knowledge and information
？ Liaise with head office to obtain and clarify information on products to ensure a thorough understanding of product and customer expectations.
？ Be the lead person to disseminate information to the NVC team by providing training where necessary and maintaining and updating shared files.

Tooling information and spare parts
？ Identify and resolve potential problems with tooling and equipment.
？ Request tooling information from head office ensuring a detailed understanding of the information.
？ Lead the communication with head office for any technical questions and ensure the maintenance and updating of all files.
？ Prepare drawing with fabrication detail for spare parts order
？ Manage tooling supplier quality and be the lead person for spare parts inventory control and management.
？ Assist tool room and production to troubleshoot tooling issues to ensure that the manufacturing process operates as smoothly as possible, reducing costly inefficiencies to a minimum.
？ Provide information and participate in the modification of tooling and equipment required to produce or add value to NUCAP products.
？ Maintain technical information for products, such as, working drawings, and technical data that defines product requirements.
？ Participate in the application of design standards reflecting best tooling practices.
？ Provide engineering support and respond to technical enquiries, to tooling, quality, and production departments, as well as external clients.
？ Provide service to customers to ensure understanding of Nucap’s product and its application.
？ Provide samples to customers and obtain their feedback on product improvements and share with head office and production team.
？ Manage and maintain samples inventory.
？ Participate in the enforcement and maintenance of the ISO quality system by ensuring files are maintained according to quality system procedures.
？ Work closely with plant manager to drive process improvement, identify issues and proposed improvements in manufacturing processes, as well as, equipment layout and production time studies and analysis.
？ Participate in plant layout and maintain updated plans using AUTOCAD.


The ideal candidate will possess:

？ College technician diploma in Engineering; mechanical, electronic, or tool and die or equivalent education and experience.
? 3-5 years automotive, aftermarket experience within a manufacturing environment.
? Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
? Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, report and presentation skills.
? Fluent in English, written, spoken and reading.
? Reading and interpreting patent; communicating technical information.
? Interpreting, analyzing complex data and developing reports.
? Problem identification, problem solving and decision making skills.
? Strong time management and organization skills.
? Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment, and independently with minimum supervision.
? Ability to be innovative and creative (‘outside the box’ thinking).
? Proficient with Autodesk Inventor 2011 or later, AutoCAD 2011 or later. PC skills; proficient with Microsoft Office 2007 or later applications.
