Head of legal/Senior Lawyer for distance selling company operate within China responsible for corporate legal matters

Responsibilities:
· Obtaining and management of the licenses and other governmental approvals required for operating distance selling business in China and in particular region;
· Providing robust regulatory advice associated with the operational issues in the respective territories;
· Liaise with the local supervisory authorities as may be required.
· Ensuring of the Company’s compliance with the applicable laws relating to b2c activity;
· Update of the data provided to the registration/licensing authorities at the time of registration, if required;
· Corporate law issues/corporate documentation maintenance;
· Preparation, review and negotiation of commercial agreements with existing and potential business partners;
· Intellectual property rights questions: advising on IP rights protection, development of intercompany license agreements;
· Monitoring legislation development which might potentially impact the activity of the company;
· Claims administration work.
Requirements:
· Degree in Law
· 5-8 years of post-graduate legal experience as in-house attorney in a multinational advertising agency or retail company;
· Fluent English is a must;
· Experience of working with IP is a must
Strong knowledge of civil law; consumer protection law; advertising law; personal data protection law.
Well organised and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
Excellent legal analysis and research skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and highly team-oriented, flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of matters and issues.
