331130 Sales Engineer
Sandvik Process Systems (“SPS”) is a fast-growing Product Area within the Sandvik Group's Business Area Venture. The operations of SPS are focused on endless steel belts in stainless and carbon materials, as well as steel-belt based process solutions or adjacent technology. The customers are found in many segments, primarily within the chemicals, construction, furniture, oil & gas, food and electronics industries.
SPS has annual sales > 1.5 BSEK; more than 600 colleagues located around the world and the Product Area is organised into two divisions – Belts and Industrial Processing. The business has a global sales & service presence coupled with 8 production facilities located in Asia, Europe and the Americas. SPS has delivered a high profitability over the past several years, and is now well positioned to take advantage of a growing global market within many of its core segments, as well as interesting possibilities for acquisition.
SPS has a strong ambition in Greater China to further grow it's footprint and contribution to it's overall result in terms of sales and profitability. With the rapid growth experienced over the last few years and the expectation over the next few years, we to need to increase our human resources to maintain our customer satisfaction level. Therefore, we are now looking for a Sales Engineer for our Greater China operations to further develop and drive growth within this important segment of our business.
The position would directly report to sales manager, below please refer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
· Responsible for yearly sales development and growth plan on product account assigned to ensure it aligned with department even company sales strategy
· In charge of sales activities plan, implementation for defined product account, including but not limited as direct sales, sales forecast, delivery, payment follow-up etc.
· Monitor and analyses sales activities against targets and provides timely feed-back to sales manager regarding growth development and performance.
· Effectively and actively visit existing and potential customers to gain a clear understanding of customers' business and product needs.
· Initiate and coordinates action plans to grow existing customers/market and to penetrate new customers/markets.
· Maintains close contact with production units, and relative internal departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and internal profitability.
· Use the SMS system as main communication tool between sales force, customer service and sales management.
· Be aware and fully understand the Power of Sandvik, EHS and Quality system in place in the company.
· Gather information and provide feed-back on competitor activities.
· Conduct market research through the use of multiple resource avenues in order to find new prospective customers.
· Visit trade shows and customer training seminars.
· Minimum of 50% travel which will mainly be domestic but could also include international travel.
· Other duties as assigned.
Your profile:
· College degree or above, mainly major on business administration, English or Trading
· Minimum 3 years' related experience in the sales area with excellent sales sense
· Experience in MNC will be preferred
· Have the ability to effectively present information to customers in the native language and English. Other languages will be a plus but not essential.
· To perform this job successfully, an individual should be skilled at Microsoft Office software
· Good communication skill for product feature, price coordination, aftermarket, payment and delivery.
· Solid sales knowledge and professional sales skill.
· Solid time management and priority skill;
· Team sprite and hard-working in an efficient way;
· Quick learning and fast growing to integrate into the company;
· CET-4 or above.
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
