Overview

GTAT is currently seeking a Product Support Specialist who will work closely with our internal and external customers to assist in issue identification, troubleshooting and problem resolution. This individual will be responsible for first-line product technical support, data collection, integrity verification, information analysis and metrics reporting.
This position is the primary resource for communicating technical product issues between the field and our Engineering and Manufacturing Departments, and is required to interface regularly and effectively with external customers and all groups within the company. Domestic and overseas travel, between 10% and 25% is a requirement for this key support position.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

? Responsible for the ongoing development and performance of the CIR system which enables easy use of the field management system while providing valuable feedback to stakeholders on mission critical customer, equipment and field activities
? Respond to customer requests and report recurring technical issues to support product quality and product development efforts.
? Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of available resources to locate first line problem solving solutions.
? First-line problem solving, testing,trouble shooting and technical support for performance issues that may arise with customers’ equipment.
? Contribute continuous improvement suggestions for processes, data collection, systems and equipment that will enhance GTAT’s ability to add value to our customers’ performance
? Perform simultaneous tasks and project coordination for multiple projects
? All other tasks and responsibilities as deemed appropriate

Requirements

? University Degree in Engineering (or allied disciplines) preferred.
? Customer Service background/training preferred.
? 3-4 years’ work experience in electro-mechanical equipment industries as product support/service specialist.
? Experience in data management, Microsoft office software, internet connectivity, web-pages, CRM systems
? Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
? Analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
? Customer-focused attitude with an appropriate sense of urgency and attention to details when handling customer issues.
