Key Duties
? Prepare and issue Process Specifications for Production
? Ensure Process Specifications are up to date and accurate.
? Prepare and issue 'bought out' component specifications and ensure their suitability for production.
? Maintain register of drawings, process specifications and associated production data
? Maintain an appropriate awareness of alternative and new production processes.
? Investigate manufacturing related issues, root cause analysis and problem solving.
? Preparation of flow diagrams and charts in relation to manufacturing process
? Undertake process capability studies and continuous improvement exercises.
? Provide 'first off' first Article Inspection Report support.
? Assist operations manager to identify appropriate training and development requirements for the manufacturing team.
? Lead the delivery of Prototype Build requirements and the process of New Product Introduction to meet customer delivery deadlines.
? Continuous improvements to manufacturing processes
? Scrap reduction projects and Right First Time manufacturing.
? Cost Reduction
? Lead projects related to Transfer of Work from other plants.
? Time and Motion Study

Knowledge/Experience
? Ability to speak English confidently
? Able to communicate well at all levels of the business
? 2-3 years manufacturing experience
? Understanding of modern manufacturing techniques/systems including continuous improvement techniques (eg lean manufacturing/6Sigma)
? Familiar with ISO standards
? Ability to read and understand drawings and manufacturing processes.
? Adaptable to change.
? Able to develop procedures and processes.
? Trained in time and motion study
? Project Management Skills and/or experience of product/process transfers.
