Senior Product Designer
An international manufacturing and marketing group with production facilities and offices in Southern China is seeking an experienced and fully credentialed Product Designer to head our product design and development section. The position requires wide experience in plastic product design for Western export products.
Job Description & Responsibilities
? Be capable of leading a team to provide full design services to the group and also to third party clients;
? Prepare conceptual designs for review by clients;
? Supervision of the detailed 3D and 2D designs;
? Daily supervision of the product design team ensuring all progress of the designs are fully controlled and documented;
? Final responsibility for the design documentation and final approvals within the design work flow;
? Total co-operation with the product engineer department to ensure high quality products flow efficiently through the production process – from mould design to mould tooling to production.
Requirements
? Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in plastic product design with an international company of which at least 4 years should be at a senior supervisory level;
? Fully familiar with 3D and 2D design and rendering software such as ProE / Solidworks / UG / AutoCAD / Photoshop / Al / Coredraw etc.
? Team work skills – ability to work as part of the management team with cross functional sections such as design, engineering, tooling, manufacturing , quality control and sourcing.
? Excellent English skills – both spoken and written.
? High degree of independence and integrity as this person will work directly under the group chairman.
? Willing to work under pressure and to travel frequently both within and outside China.
? Experienced in FEA analysis of parts strength and material flow simulation through the moulding process.
