Senior Product Engineer
An international manufacturing and product development group with production facilities and offices in Southern China is seeking a widely experienced and fully credentialed Senior Product Engineer to supervise the manufacturing processes of newly developed products. The position requires wide experience in plastic product mould design and manufacturing for Western export products.
Job Description & Responsibilities
? Be capable of leading a team to monitor and provide full technical support from the product design to the tool manufacturing to the tool trialling;
? Working closely with tool makers to ensure timing and quality meets with the customers’ requirements;
? Be responsible for solving all technical issues that arise during the tooling to manufacturing process;
? Provide the detailed costs for all tooling and product manufacturing;
? Ensuring that actual cost results meet the budgeted costs provided;
? Provide technical assistance to all departments to improve production efficiency e.g Lean manufacturing etc. both within the group’s manufacturing and also at allocated suppliers;
? Total co-operation with the product design department to ensure high quality products flow efficiently through the production process – from tool design to tooling to production.
Requirements
? Minimum of 10 years of practical experience in plastic product manufacturing – both injection and blow moulding with an international company of which at least 4 years would be at a senior supervisory level.
? Fully familiar with 3D and 2D design and rendering software such as ProE / Solidworks / UG / AutoCAD / Photoshop / Al / Coredraw etc.
? Team work skills – ability to work as part of the management team with cross functional sections such as design, engineering, tooling, manufacturing , quality control and sourcing.
? Experience in the applications of PU foam use would be a distinct advantage.
? Excellent English skills – both spoken and written are essential.
? High degree of independence and integrity as this person will report directly to the group chairman.
? Willing to work under pressure and to travel frequently both within China.
? Experienced in FEA analysis of parts strength and material flow simulation through the moulding process.
? Fully licensed driving skills.
