POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the Company’s sales goals and corporate messaging through the direction of Marketing Manager that enhance the corporate image and increase the generation of sales leads through creation of marketing communications programs, collateral (printed/electronic), tradeshows, websites, and related graphics projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide support to the Marketing Manager with the creation of media and graphics for new and existing product lines (printed/electronic) that enhance the company brand and provides clear communication of corporate message.

2. Assist in the monitoring, updating, and maintaining the daily production of websites.

3. Assist in tradeshow activities to support new and existing product lines.

4. Assist in the monitoring of competitor product lines, websites, and supporting literature.

5. Assist in the creation of web-based internet reports.

6. Assist in the research and development of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and implementation of keyword-rich copy to enhance organic and PPC (Pay-Per-Click) programs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Marketing Communications. Equivalent related work experience considered. 1-2 years experience in marketing communications field, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.

The Marketing Communications Specialist is expected to coordinate and aid the Marketing Department in the creation of communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its existing and future product lines.

Responsibilities include website development and maintenance, advertising, graphics, and brochure design, tradeshow support, and related clerical duties. Excellent computer skills required, with high proficiency in FrontPage, MS Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Capable of working under tight deadlines with moderate supervision. Able to interact effectively with company personnel, vendors, customers, and sales partners. Individual must be extremely organized, handle multiple projects concurrently, assess, investigate and resolve problems quickly (with/without assistance as needed) and possess good writing and communication skills. Some independent thinking and decision making required.
