Title: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Location: SHANGHAI


Strategic intent of position:
The position was created to enable OSC to pursue a more aggressive, planned, and resourced approach to business development in Shanghai which is the financial and emerging business centre of Mainland China. To capitalize on these opportunities, and to more rapidly grow the business, it has been identified that a dedicated sales professional is needed to source new business opportunities, and nurture existing relationships, within the lucrative corporate, convention and incentive sectors within the multinational companies and regional offices of Shanghai.


1. Identify and research new business opportunities in agreed market segments.

2. Ensure the achievement of revenue generation through new event business, in accordance with approved targets and sales plans.
3. In collaboration with the Business Development Director, devise a sales plan for identified niche markets including key targets and sales call patterns. Provide regular reporting to Business Development Director and General Manager Greater China.
4. Receive sales leads, relay customer briefings/ feedback, market intelligence, and other relevant requests or information.
5. Identify and prioritize potential client organizations in Shanghai and selected provinces/cities in Greater China into primary or secondary markets.
6. Conduct a rigorous sales call program in accordance with the approved sales plan including both potential and existing clients.


Job Requirements:
1) Candidates must be fluent in English.
2) Familiar with advertising, PR or Event management.
3) Be able to travel both domestically & internationally.
4) At least 2 years sales experience in event management.
5) Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
6) Passionate, open-minded, Self-motivated and enthusiasm
