Role Purpose:

A full time position to provide preclinical pharmacology support for the discovery and development of innovative TCM drugs for immunological disorders

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

? Mechanistically characterize TCM leads thru in vivo, in vitro and ex vivo studies
? Scout, access and establish preferred collaborators and/or Contract Research Organizations
? Contractualize, monitor, and evaluate external studies to ensure compliance of GSK policies and guidelines, and timely completion of deliverables
? Evaluate develop ability of in-licensing opportunities from the biology perspective, and participate in the due diligence process
? Interact effectively with matrix teams, including CMC, DMPK, Tox, and clinical development to achieve defined milestones timely
? Update project progression in team/group/review meetings and written reports
? Adherence to GSK’s policies on data integrity, ethics, and safety

Qualifications/Requirements: (Education / Experience / Competencies)

? PhD in biomedical sciences, preferentially in the immunology field, or MD
? Two years of experiences in a drug discovery setting
? Proficient in immunological assays and models
? Ability to critically analyze, interpret and summarize data
? Independence in putting forth new ideas/TCM projects
? Prior experience in TCM drug discovery/development desirable but not necessary
? Capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritizing tasks
? Fluent in English and Mandarin (both verbal and written)
