GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Under direct guidance of DaVita China Medical Director, this position is charged with the development, implementation and tracking of programs and tools to improve patient quality outcomes with oversight of training, education, project/research management and support for the clinical services teams in China. Perform trending, data analysis and interprets findings related to outcomes and education to the Greater China Senior executive team. Collaborate with the APAC Director of Clinical Services to ensure continuous improvement and to develop action plans as necessary to address China specific issues.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Yes

Provide clinical supports to management for all DaVita’s ventures throughout Greater China.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
？ Responsibility and accountability for clinical performance outcomes in Greater China, working under the guidance of China Medical Director and General Management.
？ Development and implementation of clinical staff training and continuing education program to ensure successful recruitment and retention of key clinical staffing.
？ Development and implementation of patient and service quality, performance improvement, and the implementation of goals and objectives of clinical services and individual Centers.
？ Fostering an approach to patient care among the clinical staff that ensures the most desirable outcomes of care and patient satisfaction.
？ Fostering the continuing development, implementation, and utilization of medical informatics that focus on patient safety, enhancing the practice of medicine, and promoting a uniform standard of care.
？ Facilitate regular clinical standards & performance reviews with Greater China leadership.
？ Integrate new venture clinics into DaVita quality standards rapidly.
？ Provide support for acquisitions, assisting with due diligence and integration.
？ Develop and implement training and oversee implementation of clinical policies and procedures programs in the facilities.
？ Create baseline performance standards. Develop metrics and reporting processes detailing performance.
？ Perform regular clinical standards reviews with Greater China leadership.
？ Ensure new venture clinics are brought up to DaVita quality standards rapidly.
？ Ensure quality management programs are in place and functional at all centers.
？ Develop and implement training and oversee implementation of clinic policies programs and procedures in the facilities.
？ Provide support for acquisitions, assisting with due diligence and integration.
？ Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.
1) Advanced degree in Nursing or related field or equivalent experience with Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. Operational planning/management experience will be an advantage.
2) Dialysis experience required. China experiences highly desirable.
3) Minimum 10 years related experience including proven results working within a quality improvement environment (i.e. Six Sigma, continuous quality improvement, etc.) required.
4) A continuous learner who possesses a comprehensive understanding of patient care processes, training and clinical issues.
5) Been a team and consensus builder, with the ability to partner with physicians and management executives.
6) Able to work effectively with complex and diverse groups, while possessing very good negotiation and mediation skills.
7) Service and results oriented, with a visible, approachable style and someone who sets an example for the organization by his or her own style of leadership.
8) Able to focus self and team on the identification of the deliverables and outcomes associated with successful performance, and to create a focus on achieving critical outcomes.
9) Ability to prioritize and adapt based on changing priorities.
10) Solid reasoning, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
11) Ability to evaluate outcomes and determine appropriate training and support to positively impact outcomes.
12) Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
13) Computer literacy would be expected
