Marin Software Engineers are passionate about designing quality code through a collaborative process. We enjoy intense mathematics and computer science challenges and approach these problems with creativity and teamwork. Marin Software is looking for a frontend Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Asia- and US- based team members, creating innovative solutions to difficult problems faced by a (very) large market.
• Maintain and enhance the UI of Marin’s SaaS platform, both customer- and internal-facing.
• Apply a detail-oriented eye that is sensitive to the aesthetics of layout (CSS, XHTML) as well as front-end code (PHP 5/JavaScript) with a keen sense of understanding for the latest UI designs to create a superior user experience.
• Adopt development methodologies and pride in product ownership, resulting in quality, efficient code -- all the while maintaining a fast, iterative pace.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of
• DOM, JavaScript, jQuery or DHTML/HTML5, CSS2/CSS3
• Object Oriented Programming (PHP5 & Java)
• Knowledge of all modern browser types (Firefox, Chrome, and IE9) and cross-browser compatibility.
• Understanding of basic software development methodologies and coding standards. Experience in Agile is a plus.
• Relational Databases (MySQL preferred).
• Flex or Flash experience a plus.
• 5+ years Object-oriented development experience.
• 3+ years web development experience.
• Comfortable working in all environments: Max OS/X, Linux, and Windows.

• Good communication skills, speaking and writing fluent English.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
