职位描述
BASIC FUNCTION
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for providing product technical and sales support to field sales personnel, Engineering and Procurement Contractors (EPCs), design institutes, OEM, and end-user customers in the respective industry. Technical support may be inclusive of, but not limited to product technical seminars, field site visits to determine applicability of a given technology to a particular application and product training seminars to field sales personnel. Additional responsibilities may include development of support tools such as applications profiles, user manual, and product sales analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to the growth of Pentair Valves and Controls by playing an active and communicative role as a member of the Pressure Management Group.
2. Work with Sales, Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and factory personnel to provide valued valves and controls product solutions to our customers.
3. As support to the respective industry Sales Teams, interface with EPC, OEM, and End Users to create product differentiation and obtain specification for Pentair Valves and Controls PRV products.
4. Assist, as required, to maintain product line margins, inventory decisions, new product introduction, product rationalization, and development of PRV product sales promotional materials.
5. Develop and maintain a detailed customer database that includes customer structure, contacts, competitors, product sales and opportunities, and pricing strategies.
6. Assist Business Development Manager-China and Business Development Manager Asia/Pacific to achieve sales volume and growth.
7. Develop local market intelligence including competitive review and market research/analysis.
8. Based on local market knowledge, suggest the appropriate selling price on selling opportunities to maximize success and profitability.
9. Assist Sales in tracking projects and managing the project quoting process.
10. Participate in project pricing decisions having a holistic view of the organization’s capabilities.
11. Work with operations to understand commercial needs.
12. Provide sales input into the Sales & Operations Planning and forecasting process, and in conjunction with our sales teams help track and close major projects that affect PRV demand.
13. Develop product presentations and training support materials to support sales structure in obtaining product specification and preference.
14. Responsible for training inside and outside sales personnel on PRV products and applications.
15. Expected to continually attend training for self-improvement and growth.
16. Participate in Industry Associations to provide input and influence codes and standards.
17. Investigate customer product complaints.
Customers Related
1. Internal Customer: (Local) Sales, Marketing, Technical, Sales Operations, factory personnel, Senior Management Team, (Global) PRV team.
2. External Customer: End-users, EPC companies, OEMs etc.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Engineering Technology Preferred (Mechanical or Electrical a plus).
2. 5+ years in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve applications or related level of understanding of fluid mechanics.
3. 2+ years of customer sales calling experience.
4. Excellent English skills, written and spoken
5. Experience with process piping, flow metering, control valves, flow controllers, pressure regulation, pressure instrumentation, pumps, valves and fittings within the respective industry.
6. Experience with the application of different pressure relief valve technologies will be a strong advantage.
7. Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, China SELO and specific piping industry codes and standards.
8. Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
9. Strong presentation skills required.
10. Dress code and demeanor needs to be neat and professional.
11. Up to 50% travel will be required.
