Summary

Ubisoft Shanghai Studio is looking for experienced game designers to join our team and help develop exciting Online Games to expand Ubisoft library of titles.

Missions:

· As a game designer, balance gameplay elements and in-game economy to keep it fun.

· Review the current game system and make proposals to improve game systems and other design initiatives;

· Be an owner of major game design, system, initiatives and new features in a developing game;

· Be deeply involved in game play test, make analysis from game designer’s view based on play test results, fine-tune game elements to improve the gameplay.

· Be the bridge between design team and operation team, analyze KPI and other metrics to improve game basic progression, economic balancing.

· Work closely with creative director, other designers, engineers, artists and producers to design, tune and implement various aspects of the game

· Lead and/or mentor other designers to ensure game elements integration;

Requirements:

· Design experienced in both online games (MMO, Mobile) and RTS, RPG, Tactic & Strategic games. Project experience in games such as League Of Legends, World Of Tanks, Starcraft is ideal;

· 4+ years of professional game development experience as a game designer OR you are a recognized leader in a major design sub-discipline in a launched title;

· Must have excellent organization and communication (verbal & written) skills;

· Must have demonstrated mastery in one major area of game design, or expertise across multiple sub-disciplines (systems, content, creative, eSports). Expertise in game balancing and economic system is preferred;

· Widely playing, especially with MMO, MOBA and other online games, with the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games;

· An analytical mind, strong problem solving & critical thinking skills;

· Sufficient knowledge in math and data analysis is preferred;

· A strong technical / programming /engineering background is a plus;

· Experience with scripting languages and designer tools is plus;

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
