Responsibilities
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing all transportation activity and logistics. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and improving procedures to ensure all shipments are processed in a cost-effective manner while meeting required arrival and expected dates. Additionally, the position is responsible for identifying, leading and facilitating continuous process improvements in all areas of responsibility. Included in the responsibilities is the annual review of freight rates, negotiation with freight forwarders, outside warehousing service providers probably in potential, broker houses and related companies to maximize efficient delivery in the most cost effective manner. Preparing and delivering direct reports performance reviews and establishing yearly goals and objectives are also part of the responsibilities.

Main responsibilities include –
1. Monitor VMI performance and reduce logistics costs;
2. Manage Customs Handbook and Import/export, no compliance issues and minimize our duty risk exposure while meeting lead time requirement
3. Warehouse operations, no safety incidents, optimize space;
4. Track duty costs; customer brokers and related transportation agencies for all overseas shipments; discussion, analysis, and explanation of complex processes and concepts with senior management, both in China and in the US, is key to success in this role
5. Motivate and develop people;
6. Work with Finance streamline our process maximize VAT rebate;
7. Develop strategies with other departments to reduce freight cost and un-necessory duty cost; Lead Drop shipment project.

Day to day operation of the assigned work areas to ensure efficient use of resources with an objective to ensure incoming and outgoing shipping activities meets the requirements of our customers; studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; maintain complete documentation to satisfy China and US Customs; oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments; management of freight forwarders, customs hand book,. The person in this role must be creative, flexible, have a positive attitude, and be willing and able to make difficult decisions and recommendations.


Qualifications:
? A bachelor’s degree or graduate-level college degree is required
? Extensive experience (5 or more years) in import / export analysis and management, is required. Some experience with planning, logistics, and traffic is also essential.
? A basic understanding of financial cost-benefit analysis, and experience with inter-company transfers is strongly desired
? Excellent skills with general computer use and office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point, are required
? Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required
? Initiative, independent and good communication skill．
