JOB SUMMARY
This position performs a variety of tasks and functions and has the primary responsibility to ensure customers are satisfied with our products and service. The Technical Support Representative will be the primary point of contact for customers, serving as the resource for information and solving problems. Provide pricing and quotations for parts and service requests and opportunities. A primary focus is customer satisfaction through prompt response and feedback to requests, order status, and resolution of any outstanding quality or warranty issues.
Responsibilities Include:
? Answering phones, responding to emails, taking care of customers by providing product information and pricing, resolving problems, and answering general questions
? Developing quotes through pricing analysis; prepare final quote for submittal to customer
? Following up on quotations to help obtain orders and providing additional materials if needed
? Provide technical support to customers, Field Engineers and Technicians by phone and email
? Mastering product line details, features and benefits and be able to communicate them to customers and prospects
? Developing thorough understanding of customer base, market and individual customer needs
? Resolving inquiries on customer issues relating to invoicing, pricing, incorrect shipments and any open issues to close orders (drop ship, credit cards, freight charges, etc.)
? Setting up aftermarket customer accounts
? Processing some RFQ’s; quoting some spare parts orders and machine rebuilds
? Communicating to customers about order statuses
? Maintaining an “Action Register” with details of all customer and field equipment issues. Action Register will provide detail, due dates, assignments, and action required to resolve. Weekly reports will be distributed to Engineering Department
? Quoting field work – installations and repairs
? Qualifying warranty status of all customers, initiate warranty repair activity, maintain all warranty cost by job and ensure all cost are charged to the proper project for job costing.
? Work with vendors of defective parts through a RMA process to be reimbursed for defective parts
? Any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY
This position interacts with customers, suppliers, service contractors, and all Armor Metal Group divisions.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
? Experience with Capital Equipment troubleshooting and repair
? Knowledge of manufacturing environment
? Bachelor’s and/or Associate’s in Engineering or related work experience
? College diploma required, university preferred
? Experience interacting with customers on a daily basis providing information, solving problems and serving as primary customer contact
EQUIPMENT USED
This position will use a personal computer, fax machine, telephone and copier.
WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
? Must be able to verbally communicate and hear speech of others in English
? Must have near vision to see computer screen, literature, written notes, etc.
? 90+% of time in office environment, primarily sitting, some walking

AFTERMARKET:
Responsibilities include:
? Collection of field activity of time, expense, and material for prompt submittal to Accounting and Human Resource for payroll, expense reimbursement, and customer invoice
? Prepare weekly sales, cost, and warranty reports with analysis attention to trends
? Primary customer support for service work orders-warranty
? Receive and process customer parts and service orders as required.
? Provide backup detail as required for billing, warranty, and employee activities
