To handle information at the scale of the web requires ideas from just about every area of computer science, including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, user interface design, etc.

Engineers work across many projects helping the business achieve its goals.

Responsibilities
Write server-side code for web-based applications, create robust high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
Be the technical lead for our development teams, fostering a learning organization
You should also have a strong understanding of, and practical experience with core code languages, not only with what we currently use but where we go as we scale.
Build our platforms, systems and networking infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, network system design, and large scale storage systems.
Build internal & external systems used by Juwai users around the world
Specialist domains: UI development with AJAX and similar technologies, client application development for Windows/Mac (Chrome, Toolbar, etc.), Embedded systems and mobile apps (iOS and Android), developer tools (IDEs, large-scale build systems, compilers), internationalization.

Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years work experience, including programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications
MA/MS or PhD in related technical field.
Experience with large systems software design and development, with extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
Skills in AJAX, PHP, Python or JavaScript, database design and MySQL
