Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinates department activities of internal product performance and dimensional testing, external lab support, and lab maintenance.
• Review test data and reports for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly.
• Develop and organize machine shop and test lab tools and fixtures.
• Maintains equipment calibration and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Develop and lead the team to provide appropriate communication channels between the global offices, CFPT teams, vendors and external labs for quality and product development activities.
• Advises team of new developments which may affect schedule, costs, and/or inter-departmental relations.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Design and fabricate test machine fixtures.
• Conduct/coordinate external and internal product testing.
• Conduct product validation and testing.
• Conduct failure/root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

• Secondary Responsibilities: Experience in the proper function of standard inspection lab measurement tools.
• Experience with proper operation and care of CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine).
• Familiar with standard performance testing machines such:

Tensile Tester

Salt Spray Chamber

Thermal Chamber

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or 5 - 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
