SUMMARY: Support Global Commodity Council on building up and implementing the commodity strategy, manage Asia supply base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

? Quote the electronic components from Asian suppliers and help negotiate the best global price. Validate the price before the BOM been loaded into the system,

? Have a voice in the electronics global commodity strategy. Assist the leaders to create and modify the global commodity strategy, including:
o Data collection and analyze: spending by supplier; by category; current supplier performance with qualitative and quantitative inputs; market trends (price, LT); and special events. Calculate the PPV by month.

? Implement the electronics commodity strategy:
o Conduct the quarterly cost review with the suppliers (verify the price, L/T and MOQ, implement the quarterly cost reductions if exist)
o After the leaders approved the quarterly or annual new price, work with the purchasing function to implement the price timely
o Allocate the business per strategy; make the quarterly commodity summary on the spending changes
o Conduct QBRs with the local representative of the key distributors; report out the QBR summary to the leaders
o Maintain the relationship with the local representatives of the key distributors and the manufacturers
o Provide input to help maintain the electronics “Preferred Supplier list”
o Provide input to help maintain and update Preferred ATTRIBUTES for the electronics commodity
o Conduct Business Audits of prospective SUPPLIERS for key suppliers and Customer- oriented suppliers
o Provide input to the Supplier Rating Program




? Other standard operation tasks:
o Review the PER and Standard cost change request before it goes to the management and PM; work to avoid the price increase
o Support the Purchasing group on part shortages, work with the distributors (or the manufacturers) to get a better commitment or pursue spot-buy opportunities with a better price, from commodity management level

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ? MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Electronics/Electrical Engineering is required. Three or more years of sourcing/commodity management experience is required for this position, assuming educational requirements are met. Equivalent industry experience of three or more years is highly desirable. C.P.M. or CPSM certification from ISM preferred

? LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to ready, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Demonstrated negotiation skills. Ability to analyze and interpret complex drawings and technical data.

? REASONING ABILITY: Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

? OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong project planning skills required. Ability to operate a computer and use word processing, spread sheet, and database software. Knowledge of negotiation processes and demonstrated customer interaction skills valuable for the position. Must be highly independent and results oriented, with knowledge of corporate processes in design, quality and manufacturing to maximize department resource return on investment.

? TRAVELS: This position may require the frequent travel which up to 50% of the working hours

? PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
