Main Objectives

Reporting to the Group CTO, this individual is responsible for the overall management of our technical service staff and core IT infrastructure to ensure that our high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained for all Technical Services.
The role takes ownership for all aspects Technical Operations and Management of our Cloud and Hosted customers including but not limited to Standard business operations, hardware/software standards, configuration, deployment, and maintenance to ensure the continued high-quality end-user support for specific operational systems.
The role is a multifaceted position that requires both technical management and Data centre skills. The technical organisation provides 24/7 technical support to our customer base and our core IT infrastructure reports into this position so good technical skills are required including Windows, Linux, and Networking (both WAN and LAN). The core IT infrastructure platform which includes Cisco based network equipment, HP servers and SAN storage fabric, Colocation Racks and Services such as business continuity and DR. This individual will help lead the migration to new technologies, evaluates processing performance relating to machine utilization and reliability, and forecasts financial, physical, and human resource needs to meet established objectives.

Key Accountabilities

· Manage a team of technical staff to provide technical support service to our customer and internal users.
· Responsible for all aspects of the data centre including but not limited to
· Power infrastructure (including UPS and Genset)
· HVAC systems
· Physical Security Systems
· Oversee and coordinate lifecycle management for all server, storage infrastructure and some software applications
· Participate as a member of the IT Infrastructure & Operations management team in creating and maintaining the governance processes of the organization’s infrastructure architecture, data centres, telecommunications, networks, communications systems and client engineering.
· Under the general direction of CTO, work with other managers to develop IT infrastructure strategies and data centre planning to achieve firm business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
· Continually evaluate the current state of the firm’s data centre architecture and services against firm goals and objectives, and adapt operational strategies to maintain alignment.
· Contribute to the design and execution of the enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
· Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.
· Manage and monitor annual budgets and expenditures of the technical service team
· Implement and coordinate the creation of technical service procedures, policies, and manuals.
· Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.
· Coach and mentor engineers to facilitate ongoing career growth and development


Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor degree in technology related major preferred.
· Must have 5 + years of IT work experience, developing and implementing technology solutions (software and hardware).
· Must have 3+ years of leadership experience in managing and/or directing IT operational teams.
· Good Data Centre Infrastructure Skills and Experience (UPS, HVAC, Power).
· Basic understanding of Networking.
· Understanding of Common Operating Systems (Linux, Windows).
· VMware or other Hypervisor knowledge.
· Software development experience will be a plus
· Experience in related IT disciplines, such as network engineering, database administration, computer operations and production support.
· Process Oriented with a knowledge of a best practice methodology like ITIL.
· Ability to lead cross functional project teams in implementing projects of a complex nature.
· Functional understanding of project management principles.
· Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.
· Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Mandarin and the ability to mentor others.
