Job Summary:
To manage the plant supply base on a daily basis
To act according to the VCE P&SM objectives and goals
Job Content:
1.Roles:
Responsible for a purchasing portfolio
Is part of PMT regarding product modifications / cost rationalization
Manage serial production changes (ECN…)
Collaborate with P&SM Project buyer
Perform the activities required for the portfolio: negotiations (in line with Commodity Team). Optimize the total cost (Price, Quality, Logistics, manufacturing, etc…), investments
Manage Purchase invoice discrepancies
To locally support implementation of P&SM strategy
Support CST to recover warranty cost from suppliers
Contribute to Commodity strategies
Contribute to the achievement of the P&SM KPIs
Manage the working relationships with suppliers for the given site (in cooperation with other site functions) : quality, delivery, cost, participate in the SEM evaluations, key interface, RFQ
Work in accordance with the Volvo CE processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviors
Be first point of contact for plant operations team for supplier caused QD issues

Required knowledge & experience:
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
Commercial and/or technical background
At least 2~3 years’ proven experience in Purchasing
Knowledge of up to date supply chain strategies and implementation tools
Strong communication skills and social competence
Team player
Business mindset and holistic view
Creative attitude and energetic. Achievement driven
Fluent English (+ local language)
