Job Purpose:

Examine and measure proto, fit, and Top of Production samples to ensure accurate execution of requested measurements, quality, construction, and overall fit

Deliverables:

Compile information on all garment components including fit, fabric, construction, stitch, and trim into fit comment document
Accurately measure garments to identify any fit issues
Collaborate with vendors on fit construction and problem-solve current andor potential fit issues to avoid any inconsistencies in fit
Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with the production time and action timeline
Provide call-outs and critiques during the fittings to verify that all issues are identified
Take detailed notes at all product fittings and clearly communicate all fit components to vendors
May approve samples to proceed to the production phase after a thorough evaluation of fit, measurement, pattern shaping, hanger appeal, and functionality
Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval to ensure quality is kept consistent for the entirety of the production phase


Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

8 years plus hands on experience handling Global fast fashion brands in jacket/outerwear category at Senior level working directly with buyers and factories.
Full knowledge of sewing details, garment and pattern construction as well as trims and accessories including lining, fusing, padding, bindings, piping, thread count details, faux fur, PU trims..etc.
Have strong pattern making skill able to evaluate production pattern layout to monitor fabric consumption.
Full knowledge of fabric quality, fabric construction as well as fabric technical production process in jacket/outerwear category.
Understand production work flow and time line, able to achieve “confirmed fit” in no more than 2 fitting stages from proto to preproduction stage.
Able to issue fit comments in English and Chinese.
Communication in fluent English.
Excel in problem solving pertaining to fitting and fit related issues.
Experienced and familiar with working under fast pace environment.
Had travelled abroad and can work overseas if needed.
