职位描述

Responsibility:

Supplier Development:
Investigating and developing suppliers for local and global programs

Design/Validation Engineer :
Investigating and root causing design and validation issues for local and global programs

Joint-Venture:
Provide technical support for program execution

Technology Development:
Investigate new technology, improving current warranty, and develop emerging market specifications

Certification Approval:
Working with labs and suppliers to ensure validation is audited


Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

Knowledge:
Knowledge of automotive wheel and tire systems
Knowledge of forged and cast wheels.
Knowledge of tire construction and tuning parameters
Knowledge of wheel and tire DFMEA
Knowledge of validation procedures and execution
Understanding of component and vehicle trade-offs of both wheel and tire
Understand technical standards, part specifications, critical part characteristics and required process controls.
5 or more years experience in the development of wheel and tire components for automotive usage.
Experience in wheel and tire testing and analysis.
Experience in problem investigation and applying technical judgment to develop solutions.
General business knowledge related to part sourcing and cost reduction.
Other wheel and tire interface components or subsystems design experience.
Experiences with multinational corporation engineering, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Experience with GM processes, systems, and standards is desirable
Previous Design, Supplier Development, or Supplier Quality experience.
Expertise with problem solving tools i.e. 5 Why Analysis, 5 Phase, Red X, or similar.
Experience with Design for Six Sigma.

Skills:
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal communication skills to effectively lead, motivate, and facilitate others in group situations and instruct others in new techniques.
Highly proficient oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English.
Basic PC skills, email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proficient in math data access and interpretation, and part measurement.
Ability to effectively organize and plan.

Experience/Education:
Bachelor or master in Automotive Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree desirable.
Knowledge of automotive wheels and tire systems
Knowledge of validation procedures for wheel and tire

Competencies:
Must have technical knowledge and experience of wheel systems
Must have some experience with tire systems
Ability to travel both in China and oversea, Willing to travel regularly and work outside Shanghai for business related travel..
Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks
Ability to effectively plan and timely decision, Independent, self motivated, goal oriented, and persistent
Diligent, accurate, precise, thorough and highly organized
High level of analytical ability to assess and identify appropriate alternative courses of action for definition
and resolution of problems those are somewhat unique and diverse. Ability to exercise independent judgment is required.
Considerable creativity in brake system
Willing to conduct and participate in conference calls outside normal work hours.
