Job Description :

1. Procurement of the full range of Steel Flat, Long, Tubular and Wires products from Chinese steel mills and local trading houses.
2. Developing our direct business relations with big, medium and small Chinese mills.
3. Locating new mills, visiting them and analyzing them on their reliability / performance factor and giving a proper direction to Dubai office as to how to move forward with any new prospective mill.
4. Keeping daily updates on International and local market prices of various steel products by interacting with various Chinese mills, traders, customers and through steel reports like China Steel Briefing etc.
5. Working in close co-ordination with Dubai office and keep them informed on daily market movements, prices and other market related informations.
6. Negotiation with Mills/Suppliers and finalizing the terms and conditions for shipment, payments, etc in the best interest of our company.
7. Liaising with suppliers/mills and our shipping department for arranging breakbulk and container shipments with various shipping lines and/or their agents.
8. Continuous monitoring of orders finalized, production status, goods in transit, shipping documents etc and keep Dubai office updated.
9. Arranging cargo condition, loading and weight surveys for steel products as and when required.

Qualifications / Job Requirements :

1. Must have a good knowledge on steel products and should have a good understanding of steel business, Chinese market prices and global markets. (Longs/Flats/Tubular/Wires) etc.
2. Must have minimum 5 years working experience with a reputable International Steel Trading House or any reputed steel mill/company in China.
3. Should be having a good knowledge on the tricks of steel trade like rolling tolerances, theoretical weights, no of pieces etc.
4. have a University Post Graduate diploma/degree in International Business or Sales / Marketing from a premier business college.
5. Must have a sound working knowledge of banking practices, letters of credit and import / export shipping documentation.
6. Must have travelled extensively within China for business to various mills and have developed good contacts with key persons in the mills.
7. Must have very good written and oral communication skills in English.
8. Must be presentable, aggressive and fast in responses
