Lighting designer

Main tasks:
1) Understand the direction of the project design through early stage communication with architect and owner
2) As one of key members in the design team, corporate with others to create design concept for the lighting solution
3) Assisting project manager to present the design scheme to client.
4) Actively communicate and coordinate with other consultancy company, work closely with project manager to solve the problems encountered in the project.
5) Reasonably and effectively take advantage of the design resources and the support from lighting manufacturers, work cooperatively as a team player to achieve the lighting design success
6) Take part in the final phase of project review, fixture adjusting and aiming.
Requirements Description:
1) Architectural lighting design, architectural design, urban planning, landscape design, interior design, Arts and stage lighting design and other related subjects, architectural design and stage lighting design graduates are preferred.
2) Passionate for the lighting design, with open mind and creativity, strong learning ability.
3) Well understanding about architecture and project, to master the application of existing lighting technology and continuously update.
4) Familiar with variety of local and international lighting products.
5) Wealth of project design, coordination , management and lighting design experiences are preferred.
6) Strong logical ability, good team work spirit
7) Good at Auto CAD, AutoCAD Revit, Photoshop, Dialux, and other related design software
8) Good written and spoken English is preferred

In 1968, Raymond Grenald established Reymond Grenald Lighting under the vision of addressing people’s perception of architectural space through the use of light . Ray was one of the pioneers who lead the way in the specialization of architectural lighting design as a profession. Lee Waldron, with a background in theatre, film and television lighting, joined Ray in 1976 and helped to foster a public appreciation of good lighting design.Grenald Waldron Lighting was found in Philadelphia in 1994.

Over years, GWL has increased its prominence within the lighting community and added experienced lighting designers with diverse backgrounds from architecture, engineering, entertainment and interior design. GWL are proud recipients of numerous awards for projects throughout the world, including two Presidential Awards for Design Excellence.
