Z-Ben Advisors are a Shanghai-based boutique consulting firm whose core analytical interest is opportunities for foreign asset managers in the Chinese investment management industry. Established in 2004, we bring together a diverse team of professionals well versed in both the local dynamics and global needs of the financial services industry. We are recognized throughout the industry for fast delivery of top-quality, independent analyses and objective opinions. We provide our clients—both active and prospective participants in the Chinese asset management industry—with data, insights and advice through the full lifecycle of their Mainland activity: from opportunity identification and commercial due diligence, through first product launch assessment and strategic planning analysis, to peer benchmarking and regional office staff/structure consultancy. Our views, predictions and class-leading data on Chinese fund management companies are used to create both standardized research publications and tailored projects.
We require a commercially astute native Chinese speaker to embark on a challenging career in the Sales Team in our Shanghai hub. This sales position will be appropriate for a sales professional looking for a more 'unique' proposition with proven sales potential and an untapped market to go after. Key responsibilities:
? Develop and maintain business relationships with local Investment Managers, and manage the sales process end-to-end with multiple deals to juggle.
? Work closely with our full-time analysts and consultants to develop a variety of deliverables and provide a superior on-going support to existing clients
? Support in developing promotional material targeted at buy-side clients including hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies, and pension funds.
? Aid the execution of the sales plan by identifying and targeting prospective client business, through conducting conference calls, face to face meetings with the primary goal to prospect new domestic industry contacts
Requirements:
? One to two years’ experience selling to buy side Chinese Asset Management Companies, with a good network of contacts (Mutual Fund companies/Insurers/ Public Pensions/ SWFs/ SOEs/ Banks/Trusts)
? A proven track record of hitting / exceeding new business sales targets.
? Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, good spoken English
? The ability to be a credible communicator and have an articulate and confident sales approach
? Interest in working for a high growth start-up which counts about two thirds of the world’s largest asset managers as clients
? Have the personal motivation and ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
? Energy and drive, flexibility and team playing skills
