Product Development Specialist – MRO
FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLE
Fastenal Company would like to invite ambitious, hard-working individuals to apply for the position of full time Product Development Executive for the MRO categories. Applicants should be able to bring new ideas and improvements to business practices; remain fair, respectful and moral in all situations; and work well both independently and as part of a team.

OVERVIEW:
Working as a full time Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the growth and well-being of several product categories as well as managing the relationship with suppliers of those products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Development and introduction of new product lines
o Develop and maintain appropriate product offering to our sales teams and customers
o Management of costing and pricing models that meet sales and profitability objectives
o Working closely with our sales department to ensure that their needs and strategic objectives are met
o Managing supplier relationships
o Developing marketing programs for our stores and end-users
o Introduction of standard SKUs into our system
o Working to ensure seamless integration of products into our system
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Experience in supplier negotiations is desired
o Experience in creating marketing and promotional programs
o Knowledge of Excel and related Microsoft Office software
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficiency in written and spoken English
o General knowledge in the MRO field is a plus
