Position Title: Executive Director - Head of Research & Consulting
Key accountabilities:
SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE
1 Lead the Research & Consulting (RC) Department with the primary responsibility of creatively designing research projects and solutions, leveraging technology in handling social analytics and recommending actionable and strategic insights.
2 Develop and implement a system of processes, procedures and policies around RC operation and interdepartmental operation.
3 Ensure systematic and cost effective department operation and appropriate allocation of resources across teams via project/account allocation.
4 Drives knowledge management.
CLIENT CONSULTING
1 Accurately diagnose client needs and advise clients via directing and reviewing of proposals, reports and presentations
2 Lead development of account strategy; manage senior level client relationship and deliverables in partnering with client to accomplish their business goals. Guide, manage and exceed client expectations
3 Achieve revenue, profitability, service excellence, timeliness of delivery and productivity targets as well as other related account objectives
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
1 Develop RC organization design, recruitment and retention strategy. Manage department to ensure appropriate career development and fun and rewarding RC culture in achieving retention targets
2 Implements performance management and match rewards against KPIs
3 Demonstrate leadership via building vision, aspirations and loyalty. Build, develop , motivate and coach the team to deliver effective work performance
4 Support in managing business alliance, WPP agencies and partnership relationships
Requirements:
1 An innovative and agile mindset as well as a natural change agent
2 Strong capacity to handle multiple projects to meet deadlines in a complex dynamic environment under pressure
3 A disciplined and systematic approach to work is critical. Excellent analytical skills
4 Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required.
5 Strong business development, negotiation and persuasion skills at senior level
6 Customer-focused and confidence inspiring as corporate ambassador
7 Strong marketing (media, digital and research) knowledge with excellent business acumen
8 A strong visionary and people leader – cultivates strong relationships with team
9 Caring, fair but tough – motivational but happy to identify, manage and coach under performers
10 University graduates (with marketing, business, research or information technology background)
11 Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must.
