BA China Supply Chain costing team is a high impact center of expertise for enabling key stakeholders to reach world class performance in global sourcing management. The team is a part of expanding supplier base in China initiative and is responsible for driving insightful, rigorous and fact-based analysis that create leverage, uncover opportunities and risks, and set direction in strategy formulation and decision-making in China sourcing.

Manager will be responsible to lead the team in order to establish and maintain global sourcing capabilities in these areas.

• Manage a multidisciplinary cost analysts team to achieve BA China Supply Chain total cost of ownership optimization objective
• Lead cross-functional projects to identify risks and opportunities for cost reduction through detailed cost estimate, financial, economic, technical and comparative analysis
• Develop cost estimate models for purchased equipment to identify opportunities, support strategy setting and negotiation
• Provide recurring and non-recurring cost estimate for new programs
• Develop price adjustment models for the different commodity groups, provide update to business unit budget and manage yearly update in mainframe system
• Develop and maintain commodities forecasting model, risk management and portfolio optimization for the contractual price adjustment indexes.
• Ensure governance and harmonization of cost reduction initiatives with supply chain and with different business units.
• Establish and govern waste elimination key performance indicators (KPI `s) for BA China Supply Chain.
• Identify opportunities for business improvement by developing, implementing and supporting strategies to improve performance of internal processes

Manager responsibilities will be the following:

• Work with cost analysts, as well as with the supply chain leadership team to establish strategies and execute action plans regarding my areas of responsibility
• Manage my team, including objective setting, performance evaluation, development plan, coaching and training
• Establish and manage the budget

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate degree with strong focus on manufacturing or engineering discipline, preferably in aerospace manufacturing or Engineering. Bachelor (in manufacturing or engineering) + MBA would be considered as an asset.
• Minimum 3 years in a strategic role in aerospace industry related to cost estimating or quoting.
• Master the Supply chain environment and demonstrate relentless commitment to rigor.
• Business acumen and judgment are excellent.
• Known for the leadership and coaching skills as well as the ability to engage people at all levels towards common goals.
• Have excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills as well a lot of patience.
• Understanding Chinese culture and speaking Chinese.
