This position is located at Arkema’s new Changshu R&D Center. The position reports to the Engineer
Responsible for fluoropolymer R&D.

JOB DIMENSIONS
Fluoropolymer is a group of special polymer materials with outstanding performance and very broad applications. PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride is one of the best among them. The person in this position will be working regularly with fluoropolymer R&D on customer support, new application development and test for PVDF materials.
The purpose of the job is to run development and application tests under the authority of the engineer in charge of the PVDF R&D team, maintain fluoropolymer lab and equipments.

ACTIVITIES
?？Run equipment and tests under the responsibility of the engineer in charge, with full compliance to safety requirements.
?？Ensure that the fluoropolymer equipment and tools of CRDC are at all time operational and
reliable.
?？Keep regularly experimental data records and run data processing.
?？In charge of fluoropolymer sampling operation from CRDC and keep record
?？Trouble shooting and problem solving.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
The new CRDC fluoropolymer lab has been established to support the rapidly growth Chinese market. The R&D group needs to provide support to customers and business development group. The employee will interface with development projects and tests in major PVDF application fields in existing markets and/or new applications.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
?？BS in polymer science/engineering
?？Preferably hands-on experience in polymer material lab (coating, plastic, membrane etc.)
?？Fundamental knowledge of polymer physics and chemistry
?？Willing to learn and develop experimental skills, team spirit
?？Innovation oriented, but at the same time rigorous and precise
?？A good level of English is a plus
