Responsibilities:

Technical accounting and reporting
· Research various technical accounting issues under the U.S. GAAP
· Perform technical accounting reviews of complex/significant transactions (complex contracts, unusual transactions, etc.) including contract review
· Provide assistance to business teams in their understanding of accounting implications and impact of transactions/contract terms having on our company’s financial positions
· Lead the implementation of any new U.S. GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements, GM accounting policies via corporately published Controller Circular Letters (“CCL’s”).
· Review and provide comments on draft CCL’s prior to issuance.
· Provide support to business units across the region for financial accounting issues, including on-site support as required
· Coordinate and review all Corporate SEC reporting requirements
· Identify, interpret, and analyze potential accounting and internal controls risks and issues
· Plan, develop and execute special projects as appropriate

Requirements:

Knowledge:
· Practical skills/knowledge and proficient in US GAAP and knowledge in IFRS and PRC GAAP
· Significant knowledge and practical skills in internal control over financial reporting – SOX
· Practical skills in preparation of US GAAP financial statements of public listed company in the US and significant knowledge of SEC regulations
· Be able to prepare consolidated financial statements, with proficient knowledge of gross profit and intercompany eliminations, cost and equity method accounting, and minority interest accounting
· Be able to perform quality financial statement analysis, including balance sheet, income statement and cashflows
· Strong understanding and knowledge of multinational companies operating structure, legal, control and accounting and financial reporting environment

· Ability to manage through influence as well as through direct reporting relationships.

Experience/Education:
Experience
· Minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience in a Big 4 accounting firm with audit experience of public listed companies
· Experience in auditing of US public listed companies is required
· US GAAP/IFRS experience is required
Education and/or Certifications
· Bachelors/Master degree
· CPA/CA required (AICPA preferred)
· Big 4 training required
Basic Preferred:
