Main responsibilities
? Update and maintain assigned wireless network validation procedures for telematics. Track changes to procedures and ensure updates adhere to required format.
? Execute assigned wireless network validation procedures and document defects for telematics software. Provide test logs to support analysis.
? Assist in reproducing wireless network issues and working with suppliers, joint venture partners, and wireless carriers on root cause analysis and other wireless related activities.
? Identify and resolve systemic issues related to wireless network connectivity.
? Support field testing and evaluations of carrier wireless network performance.
? Provide updates to the telematics Program Team on status of wireless network validation and defects.
? Participate in the resolution of wireless network related telematics issues.
Knowledge:
? Minimum 3 years of wireless communications network experience.
? Knowledge in many of the following areas: GSM, GPRS, EDGE, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, CDMA2000, 1xRTT, EVDO, FDD-LTE, Bluetooth, and WiFi.
? Automotive telematics or infotainment industry experience preferred.
? Experience in TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE and FD-LTE test and signaling analysis preferred.
Education and Experience:
? Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Skills:
? Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills (including English).
? Strong motivational skills.
? Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
? High level of analytical/problem solving skills.
? Driving license preferred.
