Responsibility:
1. Overall purchasing order management:
a. Daily check PR in GB and ensure ensure PR convert to PO as agreed timeline.
b. PO shipment follow-up
c. Payment follow-up
2. Identifies, evaluates, and recommends cost effective quality suppliers to support the needs of Wrigley Shanghai Factory
3. Works closely with WSH relevant departments (e.g. Engineering Department) to identify their needs and arrange for the purchase and delivery of equipment and spare parts needed in the daily operation of Wrigley Shanghai Factory
4. Negotiates pricing with suppliers to contribute to lower production costs.
5. Works closely with Chicago Engineering to arrange for the purchasing and delivery of equipment and spare parts needed in the daily operation of Wrigley Shanghai Factory.
6. Prepares purchase orders for Material Manager’s approval (exceed buyer’s authorization) and verifies the accuracy of delivered orders.
7. Maintains good relationship with suppliers, develops long-term partnerships to ensure favorable terms, prices, and quality service.
8. Performs volume analysis to secure competitive pricing and ensure on-time delivery of quality spare parts & equipment to avoid run outs and rejects.
9. Follows established procedures in the procurement and maintenance of the organization’s fleet to meet the needs of WSH.
10. Sources and recommends alternative vendors as back-up suppliers, when needed, to avoid run outs.
11. Implements and maintains procurement procedures and guidelines for WSH.
12. Follows up the vendors when deliveries are delayed and resolves all problems.
13. Performs other assignments or special projects as requested by the Purchasing Supervisor and Material Manager.


Requirements
This position requires a university degree in engineering or business and two years of experience in the purchasing or engineering fields. The incumbent must be honest, possess good communication and negotiation skills and be well organized and responsive to internal customer needs.
