Responsibilities:
? Measure supplier performance, capability & capacity, industry reputation and cost competitiveness to make appropriate sourcing decisions.
? Coordinate with sourcing efforts across all GP offices (offshore and onshore)
? Coordinate with merchandising efforts to ensure product quality and on time delivery
? Proactively identify potential issues on product, quality, production, pricing, etc. Involve the appropriate parties to eliminate the problems in advance.
? Maintain and update the performance data of each supplier and project on a regular basis.
? Work closely with US and Shenzhen team on sourcing projects and present the sourcing proposals before the required deadline.
? Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed
? Place product commitments with right suppliers and factories.
? Ensure product quality, delivery and price objectives are met or exceeded.
? Coordinate sourcing efforts across all GS offices.
? Ensure appropriate and timely production placement decisions are made to suppliers in order to achieve the company's objectives.
? Know suppliers capabilities, capacity and performance to make the right placement decisions.
? Cost negotiations based on an in-depth understanding of component pricing.


Requirements:
? Able to identify creative alternative solutions to solve problems and meet product objectives in quality, delivery and price.
? Good knowledge of products and understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
? Knowledge of Wal-Mart internal merchandising process is a plus.
? Highly motivated with high sense of urgency and initiative. Takes responsibilities.
? Excellent negotiation skill in working with suppliers.
? Excellent communication skill with the suppliers and team work spirit with the associates from different culture.
? Excellent ability and diligence to manage multiple projects and accomplish within the pre-set timelines
? Excellent problem solving skills.
? Excellent command of written and spoken English
? Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel & Power Point.
