Job Title: Theatre Technician
Responsible to: Campus Administrator Manager
Location: The British International School, Puxi Campus 闵行区华漕镇金光路111号 (提供中山公园/人民广场班车 )
The Theatre Technician will be responsible for all technical aspects of the campus theatre, overseeing the operation of all the events at evenings and weekends and maintain the equipment in the theatre.
Key Task:
1. To operate the sound and lighting system in the theatre
2. To prepare the theatre for use by teaching staff, in order that practitioners using the space find it clean, tidy and ready for use straight away.
3. To offer daily technical support to teaching staff at any school show/events in the theatre,
4. To co-ordinate theatre bookings by liaising with the teachers to ensure there are no clashes
5. To maintain all the equipments in the theatre, i.e., sound, lighting, air-condition, extinguisher and report the problem to school operation department
6. To assist with any school events in the theatre, providing technical support and assist in staging, etc.
7. To carry out other duties which the line manager may assign from time to time.
8. Work late hours or weekends when required
Requirements
1. Have a committed interest in technical matters and working in a theatre (music, recording, lighting)
2. Familiar with theatre equipments. Knowledge of lighting/sound/video recording / sound recording and electrical safety
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills in English(essential )
4. Be practical and be able to take the initiative.
5. Flexible and be able to work at weekends/evenings
