Position: Demand Planner
Location: Hongqiao, Shanghai
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Main Responsibilities:
Safety
1. Ensure a pro-active safety approach is adhered to within working environment
2. Ensure activities within office operations area, are In line with all legislative requirements, particularly as they relate to Safety

Demand Planning/Forecast Management
1. Ensure demand forecasts reflect sales expectations and estimates
2. Develop and maintain statistical forecast within Demand Solutions
3. Clean sales history and forecasts to remove one-time events
4. Ensure product life cycles forecasts are maintained so that new products are launched in a timely manner and obsolete products are phased out in accordance with company plans.
5. Responsible for liaising with Sales & Marketing to ensure forecasts reflect company plans
6. Lead monthly review with your assigned sales/marketing leads
7. Close gaps between sales estimates and supply chain forecasts
8. Review top service issues
9. Review top forecast errors
10. Review forecasts for key items
11. Review forecasts and inventory status for promotions and new item launches
12. Sales orders vs forecast
13. Inventory supply plan (consult supply planner)
14. Support Data Close and Demand Agreement activities each month
15. Analyze and update ABC codes
16. Support other supply chain initiatives

Reporting
1. Preparation of comprehensive monthly supply chain management reports, and other ad hoc reports, within established deadlines, to assist in management decision-making

Sarbanes Oxley
1. Ensure all activities performed meet Sarbanes Oxley requirements and are in line with the company’s Schedule of Authority

Communication Objectives
1. Develop rapport and proper lines of communication and liaison with:
2. Management
3. Customers
4. Key Account Managers/Account Managers
5. Finance Department
6. Operations
7. Sales Agents/Distributors

Qualifications:
1. Bachelors/University degree
2. Business, Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management qualifications preferred
3. 1-2 years of demand planning/analytical/systems experience
4. Demand Solutions, SAP, or other planning software experience preferred
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Outlook etc.)
6. Exceptional communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
7. Strong project management, process and conceptual skills.
8. Financial acumen
9. Good in both oral and written English & Mandarin (Preferred)
