The Cost Accountant will lead certain elements of the cost accounting function for Ethertronics China manufacturing facility and support certain processes for the company on a global basis. This position is expected to develop into a strong business partner of the manufacturing and sales teams, to ensure timely and accurate reporting for areas under the defined scope of responsibility, and to lead or participate in a variety of special projects as needed. This position will oversee the application of cost accounting theory and work with external auditors to ensure that the cost accounting and reporting adheres to US & PRC GAAP standards.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

? Analyze and interpret gross margins, cost variances, inventory movements, and other accounting reports as they relate to cost
? Review and present cost analysis on a monthly basis to finance and manufacturing teams
? Maintenance of bills of materials and routings
? Support quarterly and annual audits by the external auditors, including review and explanations of activity as required
? Participate in the maintenance of the internal financial control environment ensuring accurate financial statements and safeguarding company assets
? Support / drive process improvement initiatives: process definition, accounting and reporting metrics, new product releases, inventory controls, BOMs and routings, budgeting and forecasting, cycle count program and metrics
Responsible for the product cost accuracy of each cost element; material, inbound and outbound freight, labor and overhead expenses. Monitors key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing the root cause of unexpected variances.
Perform Excess and Obsolete reserve analytics and partner with operations group to minimize EO impact
Supervise the development of production rates and standard costs supporting the inventory valuation.
Supports the sales organization through involvement in their weekly planning process
Prepare, analyze, and report weekly and month end Added Value and Gross Margin analysis by customer
Provide financial support for yield initiatives; develop a clear reporting framework for both gross and net yield on a periodic and timely basis, including analysis of yield variances to support the operations team
Lead responsibility for inventory physical count including the reporting and investigation of variances
Prepare and subsequently validate product costing for new products, product changes to launch the most accurate costs for quotation
Respond to requests for data, analysis, and assessment of costing issues to local, division, and corporate management

Desired Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of accounting experience, required in Manufacturing Environment
2. Highly familiar with all production operations and standard costing
3. University Degree in Accounting Required
4. Able to explain financial information to non-financial colleagues
5. Good organizational skills, able to plan personal workload and ensure that colleagues deliver required reports to agreed timescales
6. Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
7. Eyes to details oriented
8. Knowledge with Microsoft Dynamics Navision is a plus
9. Comply with all legal, moral, ethical, and health and safety requirements
