Job Summary:
? Responsible for the product development, sourcing and order fulfilment of selected product groups - Category: Home Appliances
? Has turnover responsibility, drive improvement in import share and country participation
? Provide professional services to all business partners with strong customer centricity
? Lead, train and engage subordinates to perform all functions effectively and efficiently
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Analyze import share data for potential
? Understand market trend; bring up new product ideas
? Customer management – develop annual buying calendar; plan catalogue schedule; review service performance with target customers regularly; understand customers’ brand positioning
? Sourcing – examine sourcing markets; find new/better suppliers and products; execute agreed sourcing strategy plan
? Product development – define product requirements; review & revise assortment; compare price & product and confirm product for offer
? Article management – responsible for defining and collecting article category & structure (assortment); ensuring updated information in system; monitor country participation per article and increase together with Sales Lines; analyze articles with low average quantity for potential increase
? Offer management – ensure offer to customer is accurately and properly prepared
? Supplier management – monitor supplier performance
? Sample handling – ensure samples are properly checked
? Showroom management – set theme for the showroom
? Buying trips – schedule buying trips with buyers/Sales Lines; host meeting /supplier visit with buyers; work with buyers on order placement, article development and confirm order; prepare trip report. Ensure trip itinerary, offers and samples are accurately prepared
? Sample meetings – consolidate customer demands; organize / join supplier visit for article sourcing; coordinate article selection with suppliers & liaison offices; prepare offer for meeting; collect order quantities; follow-up order placement after meeting and confirm order. Ensure meeting samples are properly arranged
? Order process – check if testing cost and/or artwork cost can be covered; check order details; manage on-time shipment. Ensure proper follow up with supplier for PO acceptance, on order amendment, product plan, testing process and artwork process; ensure eQC files are complete and QC inspection are followed up; ensure order status is well communicated to customers
? Claim handling – negotiate claims and issue debit & credit note. Ensure claim information is registered and maintained
? Supervise, train and engage a team of supporting staff in carrying out the daily duties
? Handle other projects / jobs as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge and Skills:
? Sound team leadership skills
? Excellent product knowledge and business acumen
? Excellent understanding & knowledge of customer needs with strong customer centricity
? Change driver, innovative and proactive
? Strong negotiation and project management skills
? Strong result orientation, organization and coordination skills
? Able to handle overseas travelling independently
? Proficient PC skills, fluent English both writing and speaking
Education, Professional Qualifications and Working Experience:
? Tertiary education in international procurement, business administration, supply chain or related discipline
? 7+ years relevant experience (as Senior Merchandiser)
? 5+ years relevant experience (as Merchandiser)
