We are now looking for a transport planner, as a member of IKEA IMS operation team. The transport planner will:
· Book and arrange transports from IMS Warehouse and/or suppliers, based on placed orders and defined schedules by using existing agreements between IMS and external transport providers.
· Strive towards optimized transports in the best possible way
· Be responsible for issuing the required documents (CMR, Invoice, Certificate etc.) for the specific transport, based on pre defined rules for each country
· Prepare invoices to customers
· Regularly do follow up on transport to secure agreed level of performance and cost
· Handle information to the customers about delayed/changed deliveries
· Take responsibility for the constant development to find the most efficient ways of working for the operation team.
· Take responsibility to share between colleagues in other functions and sites.
· Proactive monitoring of transports of project deliveries from transport booked to goods received at final destination.
· Inform issues in the transport service to Project Support

Is this the right challenge for you? We are looking for the person who have:

- Good knowledge of order and distribution systems
- Good knowledge and experience in working with basic data and communication tools such as Microsoft Excel, Adobe etc.
- Good knowledge of the conditions at the Transport market.
- Since your work is on a global area, you have knowledge and experience of how to cooperate and work with people from different backgrounds and cultures
- Good knowledge of cost drivers within transport
- Good overview of customs impact on Transport
- International trade experience is an advantage
- Proactive and responsible
- Good communication skill both in English and Chinese
