Job description
Our Network administrator will work in a team and help provide our staff and teams with hardware and software solutions.
Main duties are:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects;
- Design, install, implement, maintain and back-up data connectivity for local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems, network related wiring plans, LAN/WAN and system installation, routers, gateways, remote access servers, domain controllers, firewalls, application and device servers and internet/intranet devices and connections;
- assist in installing, designing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining and optimizing system hardware networks and software;
- establish / delete and maintain user (including e-mail) accounts; accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security;
- troubleshooting and support as needed;
- monitor usage to ensure security of data and access privileges, manage back-ups;
- Design, configure, maintain and manage network security features for networks; Configure, monitor, and maintain anti-spam and anti-virus programs to insure network integrity;
- Installation and maintenance of servers, software environments, domains, user files and/or databases, etc.;
- Analyze, recommend, and evaluate new hardware, software and communications products for network compatibility and applicability;
- Assist with development of systems standards, short and long term goals, and strategic directions;
- Keep current on new developments and techniques in information technology.
Every candidate is integrated in the team through a step by step training.
Job requirements
Technical Knowledge:
- Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or commensurate experience;
- +3 years of experience performing preventive maintenance on hardware, and file maintenance on user files and/or databases;
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Unix and Windows systems;
- Knowledge of web software environment (LAMP, Tomcat, Java, etc.);
- Ability to develop system scripts (e.g., Shell, bash);
- Knowledge and experience with security issues and solutions, performance requirements and improvement;
- Ability to implement and maintain desktop and laptop computers and all associated network hardware;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
General requirements:
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- A good command of spoken and written English (this is a must);
- High professional & personal integrity with very high ethical standards;
- Analytical skills & attention to details;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
- Maintain confidentiality;

Job description
Our Network administrator will work in a team and help provide our staff and teams with hardware and software solutions.
