China Commodity Manager - Stamping, Enclosure, Plastic Parts

Job Description:
1. Manage Emerson Preferred Suppliers and work with Regional Councils identifying strategies that can be leveraged across Business Units.
2. Lead Major projects affecting multiple business units ensuring timely results.
3. Ensure the KPI metrics set forth at the Corporate level are met for the commodity.
4. Work with suppliers, Business Units and Supply Chain Performance (SCP) team to implement Perfect Execution programs, and correct major or repetitive supply issues.
5. Identify commodity savings opportunities via:
6. Reverse auctions
7. Regionalization / alternative specs/grades
8. Material Information Network analysis
9. Material see-through programs
10. Track, verify and report commodity saving projections and results.
11. Understand, ensure accuracy, and set expectations for China Stamping, Enclosure and Plastic Parts reported in Business Unit inflation models.
12. Develop and manage supplier relationships to achieve strategies.
13. Report unresolved implementation issues to EMR senior management.
14. Present a quarterly commodity review to senior management.

Job Profile:
1. College degree in Engineering, Business, Materials, Supply Chain or related degree required; preference for Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
2. MBA preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years experience sourcing mechanical components required, including some manufacturing, quality or supplier development background.
4. Candidates must have detailed market knowledge of stamping, enclosure and plastic parts.
5. Background in managing stamping, enclosure and plastic parts preferred.
6. Preference for previous work experience in Supplier identification and development.
7. Good presentation, communication and leadership experience required.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills, strong team orientation, and proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management required.
9. Good understanding of cost drivers for mechanical components.
10. Analytical and Computer skills to manage data and information.
11. Requires travel to suppliers and Business Units sites.
